Do you love birds? Do you love risography and illustration? Well, do I have something for you.
Kidding aside, I designed this heron illustration printed with two colors (fluorescent pink and cornflower blue) to really take advantage of the riso process. The way a Risograph machine works is it prints similarly to screen printing—one plate at a time. When the colors lay over each other, it creates a multiply effect, causing it to combine colors (in this case, the blue and pink make the purple). On top of that, you have the whites from no color to make a 2-color print look incredibly dynamic and vibrant.
This is an 8.5×11” print on confetti card stock for a unique and beautiful print for your collection.
